How does Clutter charge for local moves versus long-distance moves?

Clutter uses two different pricing structures to provide you with the most competitive and customized rate for your move. Local moves are priced hourly, while our specific long-distance routes use a flat-rate model.

Local Moves: Hourly Pricing

Local moves are priced based on a competitive hourly rate with an hourly minimum, which can vary depending on your region and various promotional offerings. This allows you to pay only for the time and resources required for your move.

The hourly rate is determined by several factors:

• Size of Move: The overall volume of your items.
• Number of Movers: The size of the crew required to complete your move efficiently.
• Package Selected: The rate changes based on your chosen package ( Basic or Premium).
• Materials Charge: If you select the Premium package, a flat charge for unlimited packing supplies (boxes, tape, paper, etc.) is included in your total bill.

Long-Distance Moves: Flat-Rate Pricing

For our specific, high-demand long-distance routes, we use a different structure compared to complex, traditional cross-country moving services.

• All-Inclusive Rate: Long-distance moves are typically charged a flat, all-inclusive rate. This means your pricing is set upfront based on the items you are moving and the specific route. This simpler structure gives you clarity and peace of mind.
• Routes: This pricing applies only to our approved long-distance corridors:

1. Southern California ↔ Bay Area
2. Southern California ↔ Tri-State area (NY, NJ, and Philadelphia regions)
3. Boston ↔ Tri-State area (NY, NJ, and Philadelphia regions)
4. Washington D.C. ↔ Tri-State area (NY, NJ, and Philadelphia regions)
