# My property was damaged or lost

In the rare and unfortunate event your property was damaged, Clutter has you covered.

To get started, [file a claim online](https://account.clutter.com/claims). It generally takes 5 to 10 minutes to complete. You will be guided through step-by-step and you can always save your progress to continue at a time that is more convenient for you.

Once the claim has been filed through your Account Portal, the Clutter Trust & Safety Team will begin the claim review process. You will receive an email notification at the completion of the claim determination process. Typically, the claim process from start to claim determination takes 5 to 7 business days.
